Normally, non-human lifeforms do not dress themselves with clothes. They might hide inside shells, weave cocoons around themselves, temporary be enclosed in eggs or shells, and so forth....but they do not usually dress their entire bodies nor parts of them with clothes.
The making, putting on, and taking off clothes apparently is indigenous only to humans, and certainly the motivation and cause for humans so doing is for an awareness relating to the existence of an advanced scentient capacity which non-human mammals and lower lifeforms do not intrinsically have, have not evolved, are seemingly not presently evolving, nor are there any grounds to believe that they will eventually evolve.
Investigating all known information on the subject of differentiation involving humans compared to non-human lifeforms presently available to humans, various open-minded specimens of humankind have, with verbal speech sounds and the abstractions of symbolic alphabet-letters words and sentences, composed and perpetuated records associated with various meanings and descriptions which they claim is the source and cause for clothing to be placed on humans under most general-public-view conditions. That source is typically called: The Holy Bible, which is a collection of 66 sacred books accumulated from what certain humans declare to be a period of time ranging from the historically-occurred out-of-dust formation of the first human to approximately 2000 years ago from the present time, which Source is yet regarded by most as The Operating Manual given by their Triune-God Creator for His uniquely-trinitarian-nature human creatures:

Consistented detected by humans who observe and test lobotomy-like non-human lifeforms is the complete lack of moral-attributes intellectualism and advanced emotional expression. Instances of 'Monkey See, Monkey Do' only go so far, but no further....though evolunatics would like to see more as they senselessly and relentlessly monkey around in ceaseless futility, mouthing their pseudo-magical mega-million-year mantras.

Well known by lifeform scientists studying various non-human living organisms are the phenomena of running pursuits, fighting for dominance, courtship displays, and dance rituals involved in the process of attempting and accomplishing reproductive mating.
Most humans are innately embarrassed or ashamed to appear in general public view without any clothes on, although some have repressed such feelings and rationality so as to appear nudist in limited-area view for whatever intentions they do so.
Besides the acquisition and deployment of clothing for sociological association in general public view, another notable difference of human lifeforms compared to non-human lifeforms on Earth is the varied techniques and positioning involved in sexual foreplay, connections, and copulation. For example, with non-human mammals, the position commonly considered "doggy-style" is rather exclusively employed, where a male mammal mounts a female mammal of the same "kind" from behind and then inserts a temporarily-erected penis into the temporarily-waiting-female's accomodating vagina. Other than that, little detectable innovation ever occurs - as such lower lifeforms function on nothing but instinctual responses as such encounter a plethoria of environmental-phenomena stimuli.
